At Birla Carbon, we closely monitor the safety, health and environment conditions at our workplace. All our locations operate a closed production system to prevent any Carbon Black or tail gas emission into the atmosphere. We utilise the tail gases in boilers to generate power for captive consumption at the manufacturing facility and adjoining residential complexes for our employees.

We conduct regular safety surveys in the plant and safety committees have been set up to take appropriate preventive action for potential accidents in the workplace.

Birla Carbon has been recognised at various forums for its environmentally-friendly measures. We have also set up our own in-plant clinics for employees and regularly monitor the safety conditions at all facilities to avoid accidents.

The OHSAS 18001 accreditation for occupational health and safety standards and ISO 14001 accreditation for environment management at our manufacturing facilities is testimony to our commitment to safety and environment.
