Thai Carbon Black (TCB) believes in harmoniously integrating
with the community in which it operates. To achieve this
purpose, the company actively promotes, sponsors and participates
in health, sports, educational, cultural and religious
events, as well as other social activities for the benefit
of its employees and the community at large.
At TCB, we run an annual
scholarship program for needy and deserving students
of employees and community, and regularly provide them
with food, rice, stationery, medicines, skill development;
health related training and English language training.
We organise Children's Day, which includes
anti-drug campaign, AIDS awareness training, general
health and dental check up.
In keeping with His Majesty's Sufficiency Economy Philosophy,
TCB has been promoting various activities to improve
the quality of life of its neighbouring communities
in the Angthong Province.
TCB's care and concern for the employees,
their families and the community is clearly evident
from all of its community development initiatives.
The CSR projects conducted by TCB in 2010 include:
- "Krathin" ceremony for renovation
of temple at Wat Phoothoon Tambol Jampalor.
- Pha-Pa ceremony for renovation of IT
room of Wat Nok Ratchapaksri School, Tambol Posa, to
improve the skills of the students.
- Annual scholarships for employees'
children and for disadvantaged children of
nearby community.
- Support for Basketball Team of Satri
Angthong School for Competing at National Level.
- Green Project - Tree plantation totaling 600 plants at our factory in Angthong, on Queen's
Birthday.
- Children's Day for community of Tambol
Huapai and Tambol Saithong, involving participation
of 950 children.
- Lunch for students.
- Blood donation camps through Red Cross
society.
- Football Tournament "TCB Cup"
at Tambol Posa.
- Songkarn Festival, which includes "Pouring
Water to Senior Persons", as a mark of respect
to the elders.
- Supply of food and necessary items
to villagers during flood relief in Angthong in October
2010.
- Health check up Program for villagers
at Tambol Huapai and Tambol Jampalor, with participation
of about 550 villagers.
