  Liaoning Birla Carbon (LBC) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Thai Carbon Black Public Co. Ltd., Thailand, an Aditya Birla Group company. LBC was established in 2003 in the Liaoning province, China with an initial capacity of 10,000 MT per annum. Presently, the company produces up to 36,000 MT of world-class furnace grade Carbon Black.

The LBC plant operates with state-of-the-art technology, adopting oil furnace wet palletised technological process along with re-use of waste water through recycling, ensuring zero discharge. The Distributed Control System (DCS) in its manufacturing operations ensures consistency of product quality. The total energy utilisation concept has made way for effective use of tail gases. LBC also has a captive power plant of 8 MW capacity. The company was certified for Quality Management System, ISO-9001:2000 in December 2003.

The company's products are classified into multiple grades, which are as per internationally accepted nomenclature. The quality control laboratory is well equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. The laboratory is committed to provide reliable testing from competent and trained chemists in compliance with national and international standards. LBC supplies to the world's top tyre manufacturers like Bridgestone, Michelin, Goodyear, Yokohama, Sumitomo, who have plants in China. The company also supplies to countries like Hungary, Indonesia, Brazil, Thailand and Sri Lanka.
