Um objeto preto, simplesmente, absorve quase toda a luz que vem da fonte de luz. Obter medi\u00e7\u00f5es precisas de objetos muito pretos n\u00e3o \u00e9 algo simples.<\/p>\n<p>Em primeiro lugar, a prepara\u00e7\u00e3o da amostra deve ser considerada, pois esta \u00e9 frequentemente uma grande fonte de varia\u00e7\u00e3o na cor percebida. Uma pintura precisa ser aplicada cuidadosamente de maneira repetitiva e, geralmente, com uma tinta transparente. Um chip de pl\u00e1stico precisa ser produzido com r\u00edgido controle sobre as condi\u00e7\u00f5es de prensagem ou moldagem por inje\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>Um espectrofot\u00f4metro de laborat\u00f3rio mede a intensidade da luz em fun\u00e7\u00e3o do comprimento de onda. A geometria do sistema de medi\u00e7\u00e3o pode variar. Tradicionalmente, geometrias de medi\u00e7\u00e3o direta como 0\/45 ou 45\/0 t\u00eam sido fortemente preferidas para cores pretas. Os sistemas diretos multi\u00e2ngulo mais recentes funcionam bem para cores pretas tamb\u00e9m. A vantagem desses sistemas de medi\u00e7\u00e3o direta \u00e9 que eles s\u00e3o muito menos afetados pelas mudan\u00e7as no brilho em compara\u00e7\u00e3o com as geometrias esf\u00e9ricas rotineiramente usadas para medi\u00e7\u00f5es de diferentes intensidades de cor preta. Se uma superf\u00edcie esf\u00e9rica for usada, ela deve ter boas \u201carmadilhas especulares\u201d e ser executada no modo Especular Exclu\u00eddo para obter resultados compar\u00e1veis a uma medi\u00e7\u00e3o direta. Uma nota regional: na China \u00e9 comum medir a cor preta com Especular Inclu\u00eddo e a reflet\u00e2ncia \u00e9 muito maior do que em outros lugares.<\/p>\n<p>A fonte de luz tem que ser de alta qualidade, o que com a instrumenta\u00e7\u00e3o moderna \u00e9 essencialmente um dado, mas o programa precisa levar em conta qualquer varia\u00e7\u00e3o na intensidade ao longo do tempo. Em geral, a Birla Carbon tem preferido os instrumentos de flash de x\u00e9non e estes geralmente t\u00eam uma vida \u00fatil de mais de um milh\u00e3o de medi\u00e7\u00f5es. Um mosaico de verifica\u00e7\u00e3o padr\u00e3o geralmente \u00e9 inadequado para verificar o desempenho confi\u00e1vel para cores pretas e adotar algum tipo de segundo mosaico de verifica\u00e7\u00e3o, de refletividade muito menor, \u00e9 uma pr\u00e1tica recomendada.<\/p>\n<p>A resolu\u00e7\u00e3o fotom\u00e9trica \u00e9 provavelmente o maior fator na obten\u00e7\u00e3o de dados bons e \u00fateis de um instrumento colorido. Geralmente, uma resolu\u00e7\u00e3o de 0,01% \u00e9 mais barata, mas muito inferior em compara\u00e7\u00e3o com a leitura de cores pretas de azeviche com uma resolu\u00e7\u00e3o de 0,001%. Uma tinta automotiva moderna de qualquer fabricante, corre o risco de ver equipamentos de quantiza\u00e7\u00e3o com um detector de 0,01%, pois h\u00e1 muito pouca luz proveniente do objeto. J\u00e1 vi curvas de reflet\u00e2ncia que se parecem com fun\u00e7\u00f5es de onda quadrada quando a reflet\u00e2ncia muda de um pouco acima do limite de detec\u00e7\u00e3o para abaixo dele.
