On June 5, 2026, Birla Carbon Jining (BCJN) joined in the opening ceremony of the ‘Caring Gaokao (China’s National University Entrance Examination) Transportation Support’ – a public welfare initiative, organized by the Rencheng District Transportation Bureau, in collaboration with a ride-hailing volunteer charity team. A total of six BCJN employees attended the event, marking the beginning of the plant’s involvement in supporting students during China’s national university entrance examination period (June 7 – 10, 2026).

Gaokao is China’s National University Entrance Examination and is one of the most important academic milestones for students and takes place annually between June 7 – 10. During this period, a key priority for local communities and organizations is to ensure that the students travel safely and arrive at exam venues on time.

Keeping this in mind, the employees from BCJN voluntarily organized to provide direct transportation support during the examination period. They used their own personal vehicles to offer free, safe, and punctual pick-up and drop-off services, helping students reach their examination centers without stress or delay.

To enhance visibility, BCJN also incorporated some branding elements like vehicle identification along with reinforcement of the plant’s presence as a responsible and caring employer in the local community. This initiative highlights BCJN’s ongoing commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility and active community engagement. Through such collaborations with public service organizations and active employee participation, BCJN strengthens its employer branding and employee engagement and establishes its role as a responsible corporate business, dedicated to building a supportive and inclusive community environment.
