The phase II of this project was completed on September 14, 2019, where the team at Trecate inaugurated ‘ArchiLab’ – an architecture and photography section for the city, within the Rodari school’s premises.

While speaking at the inauguration, Giuseppe Zanotti, General Manager, Birla Carbon Italy, said, “What began as a sponsorship for the open air theatre last year, has today turned into an active architecture and photography section for the town of Trecate. We have always believed in doing our bit towards the society, especially our children who are tomorrow’s future. In doing so, we are sharing our Purpose and hope our communities feel the same.”

During the second year, from September 2018 to August 2019, the students were involved in workshops which focused on architecture and design where they drew and painted pictures which were used to create the chairs of the theatre. They used recycled tires to create seats which were provided by one of Birla Carbon’s suppliers.

The inauguration event was covered by the local news publications like the ‘Corriere di Novara’.
