Birla Carbon USA deepens community impact with continuous support to The Salvation Army

Birla Carbon USA continued its commitment to community engagement by strengthening its partnership with The Salvation Army. Employees from the Marietta corporate office gathered at The Salvation Army Community Center to donate and distribute 155 fully packed school backpacks to help local school children gear up for a successful school year. The Salvation Army remains steadfast in its mission to support the underprivileged youth, families, seniors, veterans, homeless individuals, pregnant and at-risk girls, and survivors of domestic violence, while also providing crucial programs like gang prevention.

This year, Birla Carbon USA’s team partnered with the Marietta Chapter of the Salvation Army, helping mark the end of the Salvation Army’s summer day camp by personally delivering backpacks to over 80 campers. The employees took time out to connect with the children, hear their summer stories and songs, and tour the vibrant community facility. The festivities concluded with a shared lunch and a special visit from The Atlanta Ice Cream Catering Company, ensuring a memorable day for everyone involved.

The experience proved to be uplifting for all, highlighting the power of collaboration in building a stronger, more connected community as we look forward to the year ahead. Together, Birla Carbon continues to Share the Strength, one backpack at a time.

The Salvation Army’s annual Summer Day Camp remains a cornerstone for children from ages 5 to 14 years, offering a safe environment enriched with recreation, arts and crafts, STEM activities, field trips, and swimming. Dedicated staff members continue to welcome support and are grateful for partnerships that make a tangible difference. After the event, the Salvation Army teams deliver the remaining backpacks directly to underserved neighborhoods, ensuring these essential supplies reach even more children ahead of the new school year.
