Birla Carbon announces Asia price increase for Specialty Materials products
Mumbai, India – September 22, 2026: Birla Carbon has announced a price increase of up to 15% for its Specialty Materials products in Asia, effective October 1, 2026.
The adjustment is necessary in response to significant and sustained increases in feedstock costs, driven in part by ongoing geopolitical instability and disruptions in global feedstock markets.
Birla Carbon has worked to mitigate the impact of these increases through operational efficiencies, supply chain optimization, and disciplined cost management. However, the magnitude and duration of the cost escalation have made a price adjustment necessary.
Birla Carbon’s sales teams will work directly with customers to communicate the details of the adjustment and support them through the transition.
