Birla Carbon Brazil celebrates Christmas through volunteering initiatives
The employees of Birla Carbon Brazil locations – Cubatao and Camaçari units and the Santos office – joined in for various traditional volunteering initiatives. These groups of volunteers at each location organized donations of several items to support two entities that care for children and the elderly in the local communities.
Sharing his thoughts about this program, the General Manager of Camaçari, Birla Carbon Brazil said, “Our employees worked as a team to organize and deliver the donations. That represents the sense of hope and charity, especially during this time of the year, and I want to congratulate all the people involved in making this possible.”
The Cubatao plant and the Santos office volunteers got together to collect hygiene products, milk boxes and toys for donation to the Pequeno Luca Institute – a non-governmental organization that manages campaigns aimed at providing support to children and the elderly who also need medical treatment. The volunteers collected a total of 250 items and engaged other employees as well to participate in this chain of bringing about hope during festive times.
In addition, the General Manager of Cubatao unit, Birla Carbon Brazil said, “Birla Carbon employees and volunteers demonstrated the importance of unity and dedication towards these noble causes. I appreciate the teamwork of our employees at the Cubatao plant and the Santos office who have made the festive season more joyful for the children and the elderly. This is how we live our purpose to Share the Strength.”
The Camaçari plant organized a donation of toys for children of the Ceza Institute located in a neighborhood of the Camaçari city, on December 13, 2024. This is also a non-governmental institute that cares for the local community by providing social development through cultural and social policies.
The employees collected donations that benefited 80 children during the Christmas celebrations.
