On April 5, 2025, Birla Carbon Canada (Hamilton) participated in a community promotion initiative – Prom Project Hamilton. Started a few years ago, this program aims to help those who cannot afford clothes/shoes/accessories for their high school prom night. This was the first year that Birla Carbon Hamilton participated in this event by collecting men’s suits, shirts and shoes and women’s shoes, dresses and accessories, to donate to the high school students in the city.

The ‘Prom Project Hamilton’ is a free event where students can select formal wear, so they feel confident, and proud when attending this milestone event during their graduation days.  Students from across the city were invited to attend this program and pick appropriate clothing for special graduation year occasions. Volunteer seamstresses were available to make alterations to the clothing for the students as well.
