As part of Birla Carbon’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and the goal to promote a healthy and safe online environment for young children, Birla Carbon Jining (BCJN) organized 12 employees to visit the Ershilipu Middle School on June 5, 2025, and conduct a cybersecurity education session. This activity aimed to enhance the children’s cybersecurity awareness while demonstrating BCJN’s social commitment towards the communities in which it operates.

As the day commenced, BCJN donated seven professionally refurbished office computers to support the school’s IT education department. The plant General Manager, Birla Carbon Jining, stated that “In the digital age, cybersecurity education is particularly important. We hope this activity will help students acquire the necessary cyber protection skills. This is how we Share the Strength and contribute to the educational development of the children within our local communities.”

The HR department then integrated cybersecurity knowledge into fun physical activities, designing various team games which allowed the students to exercise while reinforcing the knowledge they have learnt. The winners received gifts as well at the end of the activities.

The principal of the Ershilipu Middle School praised the event and mentioned how, “Such professional educational activities are rare and valuable. They not only enrich the students’ extra-curricular knowledge but also provide professional support to our cybersecurity department.”
An event of this kind showcased BCJN’s dedication to the Aditya Birla Group’s values, highlighting the unit’s focus on social responsibility and community outreach. Through professional knowledge-sharing and engaging interactions, the event not only improved the students’ cybersecurity awareness but also strengthened positive connections between BCJN and the community.
